All Things Nate Berkus

{All Things Nate Berkus} Bonus Thrifting Secrets Revealed, Exclusive Back-Stage Interviews and more amazingness from Nate Berkus’ recent “Bargain Buy Challenge.”

Perhaps you’ve heard that I appeared on The Nate Berkus Show — Kind of a big deal, well, not “making-world-history” kind of a big deal, but in my world it made history.

My son — whose heard me explain and watched me work on Thrifty Vintage Chic “so we can have a better future” — was thrilled that I was going to be on TV, and because of my blog.

To hear the pride in my little one’s voice as he spoke to others about me being on TV has been worth more than any spike in traffic or new pending opportunities. Yet, this little 6-year-old truly gets it … he has his own distinct style and can clearly tell me when something doesn’t look right in my outfit, or in a room.

Needless to say, it was more than a little bemusing at last night’s bedtime to have him tell me what he wants my next steps to be:

I want you to be on TV again, but do another show — you know, with a different studio and different people, a new director and lights — but you do the same thing, like on TV today. I really liked your room.

His concluding compliment ended with a little sigh as he rolled over and snuggled into his covers. Yes, “Goodnight Moon … and Hello Stars,” might be the title of the dream sequence he slipped into.

Well, until my little one’s marching orders come into fruition, there’s all things Nate Berkus. So if you missed the show on TV, you can watch segments of “Bargain Buy Challenge” online at TheNateShow.com.

Yet, even if you did watch the show’s broadcast, you still need to go online because Sammy Davis and I have provided several Web exclusives including 5 Secrets to Successful Thrifting, a candid green room chat about our favorite thrifting finds, plus a gallery showing how we incorporated all that “new” furniture into our existing homes’ decor!
